E-Themes focuses on a single topic at a time that is of interest to students.
It provides a base for group activities by building on the natural interests of learners.
Content-related concepts in 6 key components can all be taught within the content of a theme.
Themes can provide relevance for students by drawing together the concepts under a single roof.
In addition, themes can attract and maintain students' interest over a long period of time and provide continuity for a series of activities.
E-Learn Dot Com has produced a series of themes and for each theme, there will be a software program for the teacher to start with as a focal point for the unit.
It can provide a shared experience. Regardless of background, prior learning, or reading level, all students can share in the theme through a single experience.
The software can serve as a springboard or centerpiece for the entire unit.
